we’ve worked recently.
PROJECT PERMITTING - Current Projects
Blythe Solar Power Project
The proposed Blythe Solar Power Project (BSPP) will be a concentrated solar
thermal electric generating facility in Riverside County, Calif. It will consist
of four adjacent, independent and practically identical solar plants of 250-megawatt
nominal capacity each, for a total capacity of 1,000 MW nominal. The BSPP,
which is owned by Palo Verde Solar I LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solar
Millennium LLC, is scheduled to obtain its license in September 2010.
Palen Solar Power Project
The Palen Solar Power Project (PSPP), owned by Palen Solar I LLC, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Solar Millennium LLC, is a solar thermal electric power generating
facility proposed for Riverside County, Calif. The facility, with a nominal
output of 500 MW, will consist of two adjacent, identical and independent 250-megawatt
plants. The PSPP is scheduled to be licensed in September 2010.
Ridgecrest Solar Power Project
The proposed Ridgecrest Solar Power Project (RSPP) in Kern County, Calif., will
be a utility-scale solar thermal electric power generating facility consisting
of a single power plant utilizing two solar fields with a nominal output of
250 megawatts. The RSPP, owned by Ridgecrest Solar I LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary
of Solar Millennium LLC, is scheduled to receive its license by the fall of
2010.
Rice Solar Energy Project
The proposed Rice Solar Energy Project (RSEP) in
Riverside County, Calif. will be a 150-megawatt concentrated solar thermal
plant. It will encompass a central receiver tower, sun-tracking heliostat field,
and an integral thermal storage system using liquid salt as the heat transfer
and storage medium. The RSEP, owned by Rice Solar Energy LLC, a wholly owned
subsidiary of SolarReserve LLC, is scheduled to be licensed in the fourth quarter
of 2010.
Genesis Solar Energy Project
The proposed Genesis Solar Energy Project (GSEP),
to be built in Riverside County, Calif., will be a concentrated solar electric
power generating facility. It will consist of two independent solar electric
generating facilities with a nominal net electrical output of 125 megawatts
(MW) each, for a combined net electrical output of 250 MW. The GSEP, which
is scheduled to receive its license in 2010, is owned by Genesis Solar, LLC,
a Delaware Limited Liability Company and wholly owned subsidiary of NextEra
Energy Resources LLC.
Oakley Generating Station
The proposed Oakley Generating Station (OGS), owned
by Radback Energy LLC, will be a natural gas-fired, combined-cycle electrical
generating facility with a nominal electrical output of 624 megawatts. The
OGS, in Contra Costa County, Calif., is scheduled to receive its license in
the fourth quarter of 2010.
PROJECT PERMITTING – recently approved projects
Canyon Power Plant – approved
March 17, 2010
The Canyon Power Plant, owned by the Southern California Public
Power Authority (SCPPA), will be a 200-megawatt, natural gas-fired power plant
consisting of four 50-MW combustion-turbine, electric generators. The California
Energy Commission approved the Canyon Power Plant on March 17, 2010. Now undergoing
construction in Anaheim, Calif., the Canyon Power Plant is expected to commence
operation by the summer of 2011.
Lodi Energy Center — approved April 21, 2010
The Lodi Energy Center (LEC)
will be a natural gas-fired, combined-cycle electrical generating facility
with a nominal electrical output of 255 megawatts. The California Energy Commission
approved the LEC on April 21, 2010. Operation of the new facility, owned by
the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA), is scheduled to begin in 2012.
Humboldt Bay Repowering Project – Approved Sept. 24, 2008
The Humboldt Bay
Repowering Project (HBRP), owned by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E),
will consist of 10 natural gas-fired Wärtsilä 18V50DF reciprocating engine-generator
sets with a combined nominal electrical output of 163 megawatts. The California
Energy Commission approved the HBRP on Sept. 24, 2008. The HBRP is scheduled
to commence operation in Humboldt County, Calif., by 2011.

SCPPA Geothermal Project – IID
Drafting and negotiating the development memorandum
of understanding for the Southern California Public Power Authority’s upcoming
Geothermal Project, on behalf of the Imperial Irrigation District.
LECEF Project
– Calpine
Drafting and negotiating the project labor agreements for the Los
Esteros Critical Energy Facility (LECEF) in San Jose, Calif., on behalf of
Calpine Corp.
Lodi Energy Center – NCPA
Drafting the construction contract
related to the Lodi, Calif., project, including exhibits and appendices, for
the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA).
Rice Solar Energy Project – SolarReserve
Drafting and negotiating the project labor agreements for the Rice Solar Energy
Project in eastern Riverside County, Calif., as well as a meteorological station
maintenance agreement, on behalf of SolarReserve.
Salton Sea Geothermal Project
– IID
Drafting and negotiating the power purchase agreement and purchase option
agreement on behalf of the Imperial Irrigation District (IID).
Salton Sea Geothermal
Demonstration Project – IID
Drafting the term sheet to be utilized by the Imperial
Irrigation District (IID).
TRANSACTIONAL WORK – Recent Projects
Imperial Valley Solar Project – IID
Drafted and negotiated the project term
sheet, power purchase agreement and purchase option agreement for the Imperial
Irrigation District (IID).
Geysers Geothermal Demonstration Project – NCPA
Drafted and negotiated the development and demonstration agreement for a geothermal
demonstration project at The Geysers in Lake County on behalf of the Northern
California Power Agency (NCPA).
Canyon Power Plant – SCPPA
Drafted and negotiated
the project labor agreements for the Canyon Power Plant in Anaheim, Calif.,
on behalf of the project owner, Southern California Public Power Authority
(SCPPA).
Humboldt Bay Repowering Project – PG&E
Drafted and negotiated
the project labor agreements for the Humboldt Bay Repowering Project on behalf
of PG&E.

Drafted and negotiated the
